In order to prevent downtime, it is important that the pumps in an installation are inspected regularly, as various wear and tear can come to light here, which can prevent expensive, major overhauls. Good and regular maintenance extends the life of the pump and makes the system more reliable.

This mainly theoretical course is designed to correctly inform and advise students on how to properly plan an inspection round. What should be paid attention to, but also partly what should be considered when installing and removing pumps. During the course, many types of pumps will be discussed, from worm pumps to centrifugal pumps.

Not unimportant is the necessary knowledge that is shared with regard to pump parts, replacing the wearing parts in time can prevent a lot of costs and stoppage of a business process. The course explains, among other things, how wear and tear can be recognized in particular by which parts.
