Founded in 1968 and based in Montecchio Maggiore, near Vicenza in Italy.
Lowara has been supplying customers and users with hydraulic pumps in a variety of industries for the past 50 years.

In 1986 they were bought by the American Goulds Pumps Inc. This company was then sold to ITT Industries in 1997, which made Lowara one of the world's largest pump manufacturers. In 2011, Xylem completed its spin-off from the ITT Corporation and began a new chapter as a leader in water technology.

Lowara's aforementioned innovation ensures efficient and reliable products, services and solutions for the water supply and water pumping needs in the residential, irrigation, construction services and commercial markets worldwide. Lowara has extensive stock and production facilities enabling a quick and efficient response to customer needs.

Since 2011, Lowara is one of the many brands of Xylem, an American company specialized in water technology. Xylem strives to support its customers in the transportation, treatment, testing and efficient use of water. Partly due to the fact that Xylem wants to support its customers on so many points, the company supplies more than just pumps, it also produces mixers and propellers.

In addition to Lowara, Flygt, Vogel and Grindex are also part of Xylem.
